Dad Needs To Talk
Welcome to Dad Needs To Talk, I am your host Robert and this is my place to share my thoughts on life and the things I love. I do podcast and discussions about fatherhood/family and all the nerdy things I enjoy like manga, anime, various TV shows and videogames. As a husband, father of 5 kids and an IT professional my days are pretty busy and gives me plenty to talk about. Hopefully I can share some life experiences that might help someone along the way while also giving some cool recommendations.
What led me to Podcasting?
Podcasting has become a creative and mental outlet. Living a busy family life and working in IT can bring a lot of joy and can also be mentally taxing. After dealing with heavy personal losses in my sister and mother in late 2020/early 2021, I began to feel the weight of the world crashing down. Podcasting is something I had thought about many times over the years but this finally pushed me to began as I needed an outlet, an escape from this cloud of depression. The joy I get when I hit record, the amazing people I have already met and networked with. I have had a fire reignited within me.
